Great
Read
Turalus
Part 1: The Partisan, written by the young author Ryan O'Donnell is a
must read for any fan of the sci-fi genre. Even if your not into this
type of book I recommend looking into this book. Set in the year 2287 a
17 year old boy named Michael is living his day to day life the way he
wants to live, but also has constant thoughts about his meaning here on
earth and what purpose he is meant to serve, but he figures out this
sooner than he thinks. I loved this novel and am waiting in
anticipation for part 2!!

~ A Reader from Montague, NJ This
book is a must have for any lovers of the sci-fi/mech based genre.
Michael
is a young man age 17 who is kind of a loner and is often
questioning
his purpose in life. And one day he starts noticing weird
people
all around town and that is when his life took a huge
turn
and he began to have a reason in life. I don't want to give
away
the book so go and pick it up today!
~ ~ ~ Alex Gardner from Port Jervis, NY Turalus is an excellent book. It is well written from
start to finish and keeps you guessing at every point. While the plot
is similar to that of most science fiction novels, it takes a unique
approach and doesn't follow most standards. Rather, it sets a bar that
is quite high and keeps the reader occupied.
In my reading, I did not want to put the book down. There are some minor flaws, but none affect the overall reading enjoyment of the book. Descriptive scenes and a shocking plot twist for the ending makes this an excellent choice for any reader. I recommend it to all. ~ ~ ~ |
Turalus - Part One
White
is
purity and innocence. White is not evil. White is good. Year 2287. Michael, age 17, a concomitant of New Allsop, lives his life doing what he wishes, when he wishes under the guidance of the government. Taking the night out, Michael encounters a girl in all white by the name of Angel, who leaves him suddenly upon meeting. As a result of that instance she, the beautiful mystery, lingers in his thoughts, and with each second that passes his desire to see her again, to be with her, bolsters. However, Michael also observes before meeting her even, a group of men in all black walking about, surveying the area in which he resides. He doesn't know their reason for being there, but his impression of them isn't a welcoming one and the question of who they are remains in his mind. As the days pass he returns to the area where he encountered her and plays Crusader as the virtual humanoid frame Turalus. Not only does he play, but he wins and displays a characteristic that a certain group who examined him needs. Within time, egged on by out of the ordinary happenings in his area Michael begins to wonder what is going on until finally, the veil is cut and he is reunited with his love, the reason for her being there revealed. As it has been revived numerous times in history, the ongoing struggle between light and dark begins again, with Michael joining a resistance group known as The Variance, being pulled into the center of it all. To combat the New Government Faction, he and Turalus become ghosts amidst the darkness, the reminder of what those in the past died fighting to prevent. The fall of democracy, and the rise of a dictatorship.
